Hi
Installed Windows Vista on my XP machine, and now my very basic, simple and slightly embarrassing question is where I find my old files.
I am especially interested in re-locating all my digital photos that I kept on the machin, though backed up (puh) on my WLAN network.
Best Regards
Kjell Wallin

Where to find my old files and folders
Found it under the Windows.old folder - THANK GOD !
What a MAJOR relief - PUH

This is probabaly too late, but you did you install Vista as an Upgrade or Custom? If you did upgrade, you'll probably have no way of ever "going back" to XP. If you choose custom, Vista will ask you where to install it, (which the recommended method is on its own partition). I spent several hours myself trying to figure out where my "old" Outlook email was. My wife would have removed one my "you know whats" if I lost her email.

Good that its now solved but did you even use SEARCH in OS to find files? ;) -- Try, learn, experience.
